I absolutely adore the look of pre-2012 web. Probably because it fills me with a ton of nostalgia and in the times we live in...everyone could use a bit of this warm, fuzzy feeling. Hence why I decided to make this page look like something I could've come across as a kid! I was so happy to see that those little icons that adorned old web can still be found. FamFamFam Silk is such a pretty iconset! It's a little low-res for modern screens (it's only 16x16px), but it still works well in small sizes. I pared it with trusty Noto Sans and Noto Serif (I may change those fonts later on, they might be a bit too modern). For the headers I wanted to take inspiration from condensed serif typefaces found in Apple adverts from the 90s so I set the width of Noto Serif to 0.65. When it came to the color palette I wanted something that reminded me of the 2010 version of Facebook.
